Comfortable, lightweight and very durable, this necklace is ready to accompany you on your next adventure. Its refined shape is inspired by the "uplift" of the Colorado Plateau, which was a key geological event in the eventual formation of the Grand Canyon. The design features the desert sun illuminating the rushing Colorado River and filling the sky with guilloche style engraved rays. Made from anodized titanium with a sterling silver oxidized chain. The pendant is 2.5 inches long and about an inch tall with the overall length of the necklace at about 19 inches.
The Grand Canyon has been continuously inhabited and revered by Indigenous peoples and their ancestors. The Grand Canyonlands are integral to more than 11 different groups of Native peoples cultures, yet these peoples have been pushed off this land and excluded from its management. Today we must take conscious care to preserve this site threatened by dams, trams, and uranium mining. A portion of the proceeds from this collection will be donated to the Grand Canyon Trust, an organization that advocates for Native Rights, the protection of the Grand Canyon, and the entire Colorado Plateau.
Care: Wipe clean with glass cleaner and a soft cotton cloth.
